Steve really enjoyed travel photography and did commissions for the AA and National Geographic. His slide library has over 12,000 images of London, many areas of England, Scotland, Eire, Belgium, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Spain (mainland and the Canaries), Switzerland, Tunisia and Australia. The Travel Library holds many of his travel images and the AA also has a large number.

Douz Festival Camelteer.
Camelteer at the National Sahara Festival, in Douz in the Jerid, Tunisia. Steve asked this striking, rather intimidating man (somewhat haltingly, in his best French) if he could take his photograph. The gentleman replied, in deep, perfect Oxford English, that indeed he could!
