Steve
was commissioned
to photograph “The Shape of the Century”
Sculpture exhibition in Salisbury and discovered
that he really liked some sculpture and also enjoyed
photographing it. The National Trust commissioned
him to photograph the Somerset sculptor Tim Lees
working on a replacement sculpture of Lord Cobham
and Steve also photographed the Salisbury Cathedral
stonemasons at work. He used light creatively
to bring out the 3 dimensionality of sculpture
and explored his subjects from every angle.
