Honeymoon Field.

Cornfield with poppies, cornflowers and corncockle, in early June 1998, near Castelsantangelo sul Nera in Umbria, Italy. Steve took a series of pictures at this tranquil spot at the start of his honeymoon with Sue! The fading light brought out the reds and blues of the wild flowers. A churring nightjar and then a nightingale took over from the purring turtle doves as the sun set.
